Indeed, Zimbabwe's economy is in disarray! Unemployment is at an all time high and the informal sector is being shaken up in ways we thought we would never see! Street vendors are being told to leave their place of business and are ready to die to feed their families.
Zimbabwe politics has played a huge part in our current situation but so has our mentalities as a nation. The rich are greedy and continue to enrich themselves while the poor continue to suffer. People continue to buy imported goods such as sugar, clothes, meat, and music. This video does not propose a single solution to our problems but a starting point.
The starting point all begins in the minds of the people and the attitudes of the nation. Let us support local goods and services and therefore stimulate our economy as best we can. Say no to cheap imports and buy local thereby creating jobs.
Let us follow the examples of the great innovators such as Strive Masiyiwa and Shingi Mutasa.
Let us pay a fair wage for a fair days work and have a different perspective on our situation. Now is the time my brothers and sisters! Let us rise as a nation and once again emancipate ourselves from the mental chains we find ourselves in!
