The pro-Kurdish People's Democratic Party (or HDP) is preparing to enter parliament in Turkey for the first time. But this will not be in partnership with the ruling AK Party, it has announced.

Chaired by Selahattin Demirtaş and Figen Yüksekdağ, the party says it is open to all other options for a coalition government. In a statement, it added that President Recep Tayyip Erdogan (the founder of the AKP) should "remain within his constitutional limits."
