Nurbek Batulla dances under the accompaniment of Islam Valeev, a composer and sampler player who incorporates traditional Tatar music into modern-sounding samples that help Nurbek transform national Tatar dance into a slo-mo break with elements of ballet and modern dance through a fiery blend of folk music and dub step.
Nurbek Batulla - ballet artist, actor, pedagogue, choreographer. Participant of international theater projects, author of monospectacle "MY NURIEV" and choreographic numbers. Having graduated from the Russian State Institute of Scenic Arts in St. Petersburg, currently lives and works in Kazan. Nurbek is confident that art, besides its entertainment value, carries a more important mission - actor/dancer is a guide between the world of ideas and the spectator, while a traditional dance is a way to communicate with ancestors.
