A 5-day movie of NOAA's GOES-East satellite infrared and visible imagery of Hurricane Otto was created by the NASA/NOAA GOES Project at NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, Maryland. The animation runs from Nov. 20 to 25, 2016. Otto, the last Atlantic hurricane of the 2016 season, unexpectedly formed during the last week of November in the Southwestern Caribbean Sea, developed an eye at the lowest possible latitude near Costa Rica, and finally drifted across Central America to the Pacific side of the isthmus where it dissipated.
