70,000 runners participated in the Standard Chartered Hong Kong Marathon on January 21, 2018. The full marathon, which began at Nathan Road Tsim Sha Tsui, traversed a cross-harbour tunnel to finish at Victoria Park, Causeway Bay. Designated a Gold Label Road Race by the International Association of Athletics Federations, the 42 km marathon is the city’s biggest public participation sports event.

Winners:
Marathon Men's Overall: Kenneth Mburu Mungara of Kenya, 2:13:38.
Marathon Women's Overall: Gulume Tollesa Chala of Ethiopia, 2:29:36.
