This video documents a brief talk on the FAO campaign to raise the agency of indigenous women and to make them allies in the goal of achieving the Sustainable Development Goals and Zero Hunger. #ZeroHunger. Asia is home to the largest indigenous population on Earth, with an estimated 260 million indigenous peoples and this population is among the poorest in the world. There is three fold discrimination against indigenous women on the basis of ethnicity, socioeconomic condition and gender. This campaign seeks to fight those discriminatory actions and to work to protect indigenous peoples against the vulnerabilities they face. It seeks to strengthen the voices of indigenous peoples and to advocate for national policies that will support the specific needs of indigenous women. visit the website http://www.fao.org/indigenous-peoples/indigenous-women-campaign/en/
