Corrie is acutely aware of how most people would love to have a “quick fix” when it comes to grieving. In her talk, through her genuine compassion and profound insight into human nature, she helps us transform the way we experience grief. She also offers invaluable tools for individuals and families in learning how to find life, and hope, after loss. Corrie is a clinical social worker and psychotherapist specializing in bereavement, as well as an author and speaker. She is also the clinical director of Camp Erin® Montreal, a free weekend-long bereavement camp for children ages 6-17, and co-host of CJAD 800’s radio show, Life Unrehearsed.
Working from a strength-based perspective, Corrie believes that each and every one of us is capable of working through personal challenges.

Her goal is to empower people by helping them recognize their abilities, as well as find balance in their lives. Corrie offers support and guidance during their journey, while respecting that each person has their own way of coping – and state of readiness to make change. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
