Ahead of the commemoration of World Aids Day on Thursday, Civil Society Organisations advocating for the rights of people living with HIV are asking government to amend the 2015 HIV/AIDS Prevention and Control Act. The activists clauses about the disclosure of HIV status and the criminalisation of intention HIV spread removed. They say the contentious clauses increases stigma and harm on people living with HIV whose dignity will be compromised.
