Kate Cottle asks the question: Why study the humanities? We study the humanities to become better humans. The humanities impact workplace and life skills, our global perspective, and the beauty and history of human experience.

Kate Cottle is the Chair of Humanities and Literature at Wilmington University. Her areas of instruction include writing and research, hybrid and online course design, grammar, humanities, literature, history, and poetry. In addition to teaching, Ms. Cottle has professional experience in the corporate setting as a helpdesk analyst and technical writer. She is currently pursuing her Ed.D. in Curriculum, Technology, and Higher Education from the University of Delaware.
