Fire officials set 30 roughly acres ablaze on a hillside at Cascade Head just north of Lincoln City Sept. 27, 2018. The controlled burn will help control invasive species and provide a better habitat for the endangered silverspot butterfly. The burn was managed by the Nature Conservancy, Confederated Tribes of Grand Ronde, the Oregon Department of Forestry and U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, among others. Mark Graves/Staff
