This Talk must be seen as well as heard. Debra Gloria, a Dallas-based photographer and videographer, not only tells how she was drawn to the concept of therapeutic photography, she shows striking images of the people who inspire her. Watch as she takes you on her own personal journey with her terminally ill sister that took place just months before she took the TEDxTurtleCreekWomen stage.

Born and raised in San Antonio, TX, Debra’s love of photography became evident when she chose her elective classes in college. Photography quickly became the only subject she was interested in studying. She has been a freelance photographer for 28 years, including shooting advertising photography in New York for Fortune 500 companies, before returning to Dallas. Debra is active in shooting for charitable causes, “Sharing my talent is what I feel is my biggest calling, I love watching people look at my interpretation of the beauty I see in them. It’s a God given talent, I’m just pushing the button.”
