This is a big day in the lives of these cuties! Two seals from the The Seal Rehabilitation and Research Centre (SRRC; Dutch: Zeehondencentrum Pieterburen) have been released into the Wadden Sea at Shiermonnikoog after weeks of rehabilitation.

This video is made for the World Animal Protection regarding a research that sheds new light on 'ghost net' problems and which organizations are active in fighting against this problem.

Thanks to the tireless efforts of the volunteers and employees of The Zeehondencentrum Pieterburen, many Seals are given a second chance at life.

The Dolphin Swim Club has teamed up with Zeehondencentrum Pieterburen, for our project to develop waterproof VR goggles, made out of ocean waste plastic. Zeehondencentrum Pieterburen has already a project to collect ghost fishing nets: Happy Seal.
