Here is a quick demonstration of how we drained the oil from our Masterbuilt turkey fryer. So simple! They really did this one right! Very user friendly and super easy to clean. In the end, I did not put this in my dishwasher. I opted to scrub by hand with a Brillo scrubby sponge and a stainless steel mesh scrubber. It came clean beautifully.
We will store the oil in the bottles that it came in and mark it to know how many uses we have done already. The good folks at Masterbuilt say you can get up to 8 turkey frys out of one batch of oil. That you can get 3 to 4 out of another type of oil such as soy, canola or corn oil. I am looking forward to seeing what else we can come up with.
The turkey fryer is now clean and resting in a plastic bin that we purchased especially for it. Fits nicely right in there. Safe from the elements and dust and dirt. We will be using this more in the future and will share what we make. I think a couple of chickens would be great in here! I also think superbowl will never be the same!
I hope this helped you learn about how to drain the oil in one of these great machines.
