2017 Porsche 911 Carrera S UNBOXING Review - Everyone's Favorite Sports Car

We're really excited to bring you today's unboxing review, the one and only Porsche 911. Our tester is a 2017 911 Carrera S, powered by a twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter flat-six with 420 hp and 368 lb-ft of torque. The standard seven-speed manual here has been swapped out in favor of a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission. Wait, did we say this 911 is turbocharged? It's not the 911 Turbo? Yes to both.

Porsche has ditched its naturally aspirated flat-sixes in favor of this new twin-turbo engine for several reasons, the main of which being improved fuel economy. But don't think for a moment that Porsche cut back on power. Quite the opposite. The previous Carrera S had a 3.8-liter flat-six with 400 hp and 325 lb-ft. And yes, this updated 991 generation 911 still very much drives and sounds like a 911. You feel the extra weight at the rear. Though there is some minor turbo lag, the turbos do bring the power much earlier in the rev range, so there's that. Pricing? Expensive as always. Enjoy the review!
